The Naracoorte Singers are eager to present “A Sunday Afternoon of Beautiful Music” on Sunday September 15th.
The 2 p.m. performance at Naracoorte Town Hall will include 18 choir songs, selected by their conductor Erika Vickery and accompanist Marion Orton.
They will feature “Hope Songs”, “Negro Spirituals” and many other well known and popular choices including I Have a Dream, Amazing Grace, You’ll Never Walk Alone, Down by the Riverside and A Clare Benediction.
The ladies will sing the lovely Only Time, recorded by Enya, and Feelin ‘Groovy, while the men of the group will perform The Drinking Song and With a little luck.
The concert will also feature two talented guest artists, with pianist and singer Alice Fang and Tamara Joukoff on cello.
A small donation to charity would be appreciated. The singers would like everyone to join them after the performance for afternoon tea and a chat.
The following Monday evening, the choir will rehearse part of the performance at Longridge Aged Care at 6:30 p.m., with family members of the residents invited to accompany as well.
