“Tell everyone what you just did,” Johnson said on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday. Drew smiled slowly and said, “Potty,” looking so proud of herself. She eats chocolate in the video, which is the best reward for somebody, but seems to work especially well for toddlers.

“Are you killing potty training? Are you doing such a good job? Johnson asks. The text on the video reads: “POTTY TRAINED GIRL RIGHT HERE!!!” and his enthusiasm is contagious. That glorious moment when your little one finally learns how to hold their bladder until they go to the bathroom is one of the best parenting milestones.

So what’s the secret? M&M’s of course! She swallows, then pulls her hand away to say, “I want more, Mom.” Johnson, who also shares 11-month-old son Jett with husband Andrew East, replies, “Want more M&Ms? Well, you still have to go to the bathroom, okay? »

Ah, the classic candy trick to go potty. I did this with my two oldest children, and let me tell you – it really works! Later in his stories, Johnson clarified his strategy.

“Potty training tips! Learned from my friend! Johnson wrote. Step one: ‘rip off the diaper. Cold Turkey.’

Then, “put on underwear”.

Now for the biggest motivator: candy! “Jar of m&ms next to big girl jar,” Johnson wrote. “Reward with m&m after each successful mission hahahaha.”

Hey, if it works, why change it?
