Movies At Wessendorff Park featuring “Free Birds” is scheduled from 6:45 pm to 8:15 pm on Friday, November 19 at Wessendorff Park, 500 Preston Street in Richmond. This is a free family event. The Rotary Club of Richmond will provide free popcorn and the city will provide water. Participants are encouraged to bring their own chairs and / or blankets. Sixth Annual Pecan Harvest Festival

The Sixth Annual Pecan Harvest Festival in downtown Richmond will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 21 and will highlight Fort Bend County’s rich pecan history. Festival highlights include Kidz Zone at Decker Park, live music all day from Wessendorff Park Lookout, Little Miss Pecan Contest at Moore Home at Fort Bend Museum, Artisan Vendors, Walk hay, a farmers market, pecan pastry competition, food truck park, beer and wine garden, and an expanded car and bicycle show. The town of Sugar Land will host this year’s winter wonderland-themed Christmas tree lighting from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 3 at Sugar Land Town Square, 2711 Plaza Drive. Crafts, free activities, walking figures, snow, stunning ice sculptures with on-site carving and a variety of holiday treats will be available.
